PEDDAVARAM GRAMA PARIRAKSHANA COMMITTEE
Nagaram Mandal, Repalle Police Circle, Guntur District
is running since 2004 by Non-Resident Villagers with an aim to bring the peace
in the village from faction murders and also to make development.

CRIME HISTORY OF THE VILLAGE:

The village polulation is 2000. The village was suffered with faction and other reason murders for the last 4 decades. More than 20 persons were killed and more than 40 persons were committed suicide. Two Village Sarpanches and one MPTC were killed to hold the political command in the village. Uncountable paddy fire up incidents were took place. More than 10 families have left from the village leaving their properties due to the faction clashes. Many anti-social elements and liquor edicts persons were have taken upper hand and harassed innocent villagers. ‘Might is Right’ system was ruled for more than 45 years. The Villagers have last faith over the Democratic System and spending their life always with insecurity fear. In this situation, Sri Maadivada Ramabrahmam, (Hyderabad) Sri Vallabhudasu Koteswara Rao (Machiryala) Sri Kota Veerabhadraiah (Retd. RBI DGM – Hyderabad) Non-Resident Villagers have started a voluntary organization in 2004 to bring the village into peace and development.

( ఈ హత్యలో మాత్రమె ఆరుగురికి జీవిత ఖైదు విధించగా 2 సం. తరువాత హై కోర్ట్ కొట్టివేయటం జరింగింది)
03.01.1983 న వల్లభుదాసు సుబ్బరామయ్య, మాజీ సర్పంచ్, ప్రతీకార హత్య జరిగింది. (60) (ఫ్యాక్షన్)

మహిళల (కుటుంబ) హత్యలను ఆత్మా హత్యలుగా చిత్రించటం జరిగింది.
హత్య లేక ఆత్మా హత్య? అనే అనుమానం కలిగినవి ఉన్నాయ్.
ఆత్మహత్యాప్రయత్నం చేసి బ్రతికిన వారు గణనీయంగా ఉన్నారు.
మద్యం త్రాగి అలజడి చేసిన, కలబడి కొట్టుకున్న సంఘటనలు లెక్కకు అందనన్ని ఉన్నాయ్.
ఇక వరికుప్పల, గడ్డివాముల కాల్చివేత సంఘటనలు 100 కు పైగానే ఉండవచ్చు.

Our Motto :

The villagers should be educated to restore the faith over the democratic system. (Since they have totally lost faith due to 5 decade faction experiences)
The criminals / offenders / liquor edicts who are spoiling village peace, should be counseled without police cases and punishments as much as possible with the help of police.
And the Village should be developed that every villager should be prouded.

To achieve above aims, we have conducted many peace activities such as peace rally with the police among the villagers, Nyaya Vignana Vedika by Repalle Hon’ble Magistrate, Anti-faction Stage Show by Guntur SP Office Police Artists, Counseling meeting by other voluntary organisations and many street meetings, wall writings, videos telecast through local cable system, and pamphlets etc. In this process, though we have personally facing some bad experiences by some criminals, we can proudly says that we have successfully brought the good and positive change in the village.

Achievements :

We also concentrated on development. In this process, we have achieved nearly 30 lakh of worth work with the help of local MLA and Hon’ble Minister Sri Mopidevi Venkata Ramana Rao Garu.

CC Road, Rooms for School etc.
Burial Ground Road Constructed with Sramadanam by villagers.
Burial Drainage Wall Constructed for road with worth of Rs.2.5 Lakh
Availed the facilities like Pensions, Upadihami etc. provided by Govt.
No more MIGHT IS RIGHT SYSTEM in the Village
Submitted memorandums to all Officials including MP, MLA, Collector, SP etc. by all the groups in the village for their help to bring the village into development.
Conducted NYAYAVIGNANA VEDIKA in the Village by Repalle Hon’ble Magistrate.
Conducted peace rally by the Police and Villagers
Conducted Anti-faction Stage Show by the District SP Office Police Artists
Conducted many counseling meeting (with and with out police) in the village successfully.
Running regular NEWS LETTER with awareness news.
Last Panchayati Election made unanimous with the help of Local Police.
We restricted playing loudspeakers in the village temples and on Tractors

THE DEVELOPMENTS UNDER PROPOSAL AND POSITIVE WAY:

Hon'ble Minister Shri Mopidevi Venkata Ramana Rao Garu has kindly agreed to sanction CC Road from Bus Stand to Panchayati Office and Damber Road from Panchayati to Ilavaram. And also agreed to sanction Archi woth about Rs.2 Lakhs with minimum facilities in the Burial ground. These works yet to be completed in this season.
We are trying to establish a Safe Drinking Water Plant with the help of Naandi Foundation and Shri J.D.Seelam, MP
We have represented to Hon’ble Minister Shri Mopidevi Venkata Ramana Rao Garu and District Collector to construct all roads with Cement Concrete.
We have represented to sanction Latrines for all families in the village.
We have represented to Panchayatiraj / Revenue Departments to make proper road and drainage system.
We have represented the Superintendent of Police to nominate a permanent peace committee with police and villagers.
